Captain Mike fell in love with boating and the ocean over 25 years ago while living in the Florida panhandle. After owning and operating several boats there, he purchased the Shining Star in the Virgin Islands. He retired from a very successful career in real estate investing, and construction. Not only does he take great pride in the fact they personally refit the Shining Star, but he understands that to be truly successful every guest must eagerly return year after year, vacation after vacation.

Chef Teresa learned to prepare fine meals years ago in the seven restaurants they once owned and operated. Not only is she well skilled on the boat, but she's at home in the kitchen preparing incredible dishes. She has a way of making each guest feel as if they weren't visiting the Shining Star, but coming home...for the first time!
