| Saboré 585 Privilege Catamaran
She has been specifically designed as a fast, luxurious charter yacht offering such opulent interior space that her length of 58'5' is misleading, especially when it is considered that she has even more volume than catamarans 10 feet longer! Visually nothing is lost because beautiful lines and flat uncluttered decks complete the illusion. Saboré is offered only to 8 guests. Her owner, resisting the temptations of her space, wants to retain an uncrowded intimacy aboard the yacht. Dark cherry woodwork and Italian glove leather seating will absorb the senses.
Her crew are the renowned catamaran team Mike and Lori Cady who
have worked with the construction of Saboré from her inception.
They are a humorous and insightful couple that are very in tune
with their guests' every need. From letting you take the helm or
fine tuning your water sports to choosing just the right cocktail
to match the color of the sunset. They are consummate professionals
-with a twinkle in their eyes!
Each of the cabins are spacious and feature the 6 jet shower heads
Sabore's Winter Crew
Mike and Lori Cady Mike and Lori, both USCG Masters rated captains, moved from Alaska to the British Virgin Islands in spring 1999. For the past couple of years they have been chartering a 55' Catamaran until their recent appointment to Saboré by her new owner. Mike grew up in Ohio, went to college in Minnesota and moved to Alaska in 1980. As a geologist/engineer working in the oil industry Mike spent time all over Alaska working primarily on Alaska’s frozen North Slope. Lori grew up in Alaska and began a successful career as a corporate travel consultant in 1983. Her close relationship with her clients helped develop her natural skill in working with people’s needs. They met in Alaska 15 years ago through their mutual interest in sailing and the outdoors. While in Alaska Mike and Lori enjoyed skiing, ocean kayaking, sailing, fishing, hiking, mountaineering and diving. Mike capped his climbing accomplishments with a north-south traverse of the Alaska Range by way of the summit of Mt. McKinley, North America’s highest peak. Lori was an Alaska state swimming champion, which helped her a great deal with another of her interests, triathlons. In 1988 their love of the sea could no longer be ignored. They found a beautiful 37-foot sailboat in Seattle and sailed it back to Alaska’s Prince William Sound. After two years sailing in Alaska and shoveling snow off the decks they made the decision to leave. They spent the next five years, from 1991 to 1996, sailing their boat, Glissade, westward around the world. Along the way they enjoyed interacting with new cultures, meeting new people, trying new foods and rising to each new challenge. Lori’s abilities as a chef were influenced by the many cultures she experienced and is reflected in her culinary flair. Mike, now a PADI Dive Instructor, developed his skill at safely diving some of the most remote dive sites in the world. Together this adventurous, fun-loving couple combine their interests, talents and experience to create a most unforgettable sailing vacation for their guests. Rediscover that adventurous side of yourself and come explore the islands on "Saboré" with Mike and Lori. Sabore's Summer Crew
Captain Colin and Chef Penny Moors Your summer crew aboard Saboré is a delightful British twosome, whose friendly dispositions and professional attitude will make you feel totally at home whilst on board. Together since 1987, they achieved their dream to pursue sailing full time in 1995. Equipping their own 35 foot sailboat, they left England to start an adventure that took them to Spain, Portugal and the Canaries, before crossing the Atlantic to the azure waters of the Caribbean. Since 1997, they have successfully completed over 175 charters in this cruising paradise. Their guest book says it all! Colin and Penny know what it takes to tailor a charter to your particular needs. Colin, Royal Yachting Association Yacht Master, has the sea in his blood. From his first turn at the helm at the age of 5, whilst sitting on his father’s knee, he proudly continues the family tradition established by his great grandfather who sailed the world on the Tea Clipper ships. Well qualified, with over 75,000 miles of sailing experience and an intimate knowledge of Caribbean waters, Colin will enhance your sailing vacation and make your safety of paramount importance. Enormously practical, with a background in the electrical field, Colin is great fun and has an affinity with people of all ages. Penny, a Qualified English Nanny who worked internationally, has a fun loving approach to life and is gifted in attending to people’s needs. An excellent chef, she discovered her creativity and gourmet skills at an early age. Dining aboard Saboré is special, as each colourful and varied dish delights the eye and tantalizes the taste buds, reflecting the influences of her extensive travels.
